Hunting License Information

The hunting season for elk and fallow deer at Cinco Canyon Ranch runs from October 15th through February 15th. Axis, black buck and other exotics can be hunted year round. Our hunting season for native Whitetail and turkey is established each year by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department which also requires all hunters to have a valid and current Texas hunting license. If you do not have a valid Texas license we can assist you. One may be easily purchased on the way to the ranch or in Fredericksburg.

In order to promote ethical hunting practices and safety, all hunters at Cinco Canyon Ranch are required to the following:

  1. Sight in their rifles at our shooting range before their hunt.
  2. Obey all game laws while hunting on the ranch
  3. Comply with all safety rules established by the ranch.

*Guest will be charged a harvest/trophy fee if they wound an animal but no carcass is recovered. Blood tracking dogs are available for hire, or guide will make best efforts to locate your trophy.
